Chronic Chimera (/kīˈmirə,kəˈmirə/) was started to empower those of us with chronic pain and invisible illness who want to make the most of the rest of our life. We are the women who survived domestic violence and then our partner leaving us at a time we most needed support. Most of us have bad days, some days all we can do is survive. Other days we thrive and kick ass…and how we get through each moment is more than okay.
We want to create a life that allows us to enjoy this precious time we have left. There is a fire inside us, an overwhelming desire to create a life we love every single moment. Our understanding of how short life can be is crystal clear. No more regrets.
For some of us, we want to find self-care information that helps us take care of and love our bodies. Others want to learn new hobbies or get back to those hobbies they never took the time for before becoming ill. We want to intentionally cultivate a life that is easier on us, one that helps us feel better.
Many of us need to find work or create an income that embraces our limitations and builds new strengths. We want to earn a living that allows us better housing, healthcare, and groceries. Many of us want more adventures with our kids and grandkids among other things.
Welcome! I’m Kim and I have Hashimoto’s. There is so much I want to share with you.
